The site diary is the most important running document of a construction site: under Finnish YSE 1998 contract terms it records the daily progress, conditions and disturbances, and serves as evidence in delay claims and disputes. Supervisor acknowledgment and corrective entries
A signed entry locks — it cannot be edited afterwards, which preserves the diary’s value as evidence. The supervisor acknowledges the entry with their own mark, and mistakes are fixed with a corrective entry referencing the original.

Is a site diary mandatory?
Under section 75 of the Finnish YSE 1998 general contract terms, the contractor must keep a site diary with daily records of the work. It is key evidence in delay and disturbance situations.
Can an entry be edited afterwards?
A signed entry locks and cannot be edited — preserving its evidential value. Corrections are made with a corrective entry that references the original.
Where does the weather come from?
Weather is fetched automatically from Finnish Meteorological Institute observations based on the site address — temperature, conditions and wind are recorded without manual work.
